今年はまだまだ闘います！

全ラウンドトップ通過なんて目標を、
白田の口から聞く事ができるとは思っていませんでした。

その気持ちは嬉しかったです。

厳しい事を言うのは簡単だけど、白田には長いブランクがあります。

それも踏まえて記録や結果を受け止めたいと思っています。

優勝おめでとうー、白田。

そして、約束を果たしてくれてありがとう。




さて、今度は自分の闘いです。

レッグスからTシャツを受け取りました。

（これは予選用のシャツでファイナルでは出場者の名前が入ります）

今月末に開催されるクリスタルバーガー世界大会のものです。
（ESPNで放送）

この大会で昨年、僕を残り１分までリードしたジョーイという選手は、
競技をしてきた中で最も強い選手です。

５年前に日本で試合をしていたら、間違いなくすべての大会は彼の圧勝だったでしょう。

ジョーイは今年、ハンバーガーを2分で28個食べ世界記録を樹立しました。

これだけのスピードに、現在ではウェイトクラッシュでのかつての僕を遥かに上回る胃のキャパシティを備えていると説明すれば、
彼の力をなんとなく想像できるかと思います。

当然、今年もジョーイとの優勝争いだと考えていました。

ところが昨年ジョーイが樹立したアメリカ記録に、
なんと今年ソニアが並んだのです。

ジョーイ＆ソニア　62

冷静に考えると、他にも優勝が視野に入る選手がたくさんいます。

ソーセージ大会でジョーイに５本差まで迫ったパット。
（彼にとっては、アイスクリーム８分で７キロの記録も過去の話）

ホットドッグ大会の記録で、ソニアを上回るチップ。

同じくホットドッグ大会でパットに並ぶティム。

今年のソーセージ大会では、なんと昨年の世界記録保持者ソニア（昨年は世界ランキング２位）に
ジョーイ、パット、ボブ、ティムが勝ちました。

アメリカでは、選手がお互い刺激し合ってどんどん強くなっています。

月単位で記録を伸ばしてきますから、相手の記録を予想するのは無意味です。

クリスタルバーガーの大会は８分。今年出場した大会の中で最も時間が短いです。

気を抜いた選手が負けます。

僕も例外ではありません。


最近試合が続きますが、素晴らしい選手達から良いプレッシャーを受けますので、気持ちには全く疲れがなくて、
むしろ活き活きしてます。（狙われている感覚がたまらない）


ですが、冷静に今週いっぱいゆっくり体を休めて、大会に合わせて徐々に体を作って
いきたいと思います。

    プレッシャーに弱い私は、そんな状況になったら絶対逃げ出してます(^_^;)「狙われている感覚がたまらない」なんて言えるくらい、私も強くなりたいです(^_^)v世界にはとても強い選手がいるんですね。でも私のなかでは尊さんが１番です！頑張ってください(*^∇^*)

    中学校のときに初めて小林君を見てファンになりました♪
    昨日の白田さんの優勝を見て、なんか懐かしくなり、昔録ったフードファイトクラブのビデオを引っ張り出してきて見てしまいました！！

    尊くんの大ファンです！

    昨日の大食い王での白田さんの優勝、とても嬉しかったです。

    今、白田さんのブログの方にも遊びに行って来たんですけど、
    優勝できて、とても嬉しそうでした。
    尊くん、射手矢くん、卓弥くんは永遠のライバルだそうです。
    「四人で戦ったら、みんな得意分野が違うので、誰が勝つか分からない。」
    と、言っていました。
    「ホットドッグだったら、尊くんだろうなぁ～」と。(^_-)-☆

    これをみて、四人のバトルが、めちゃめちゃ観たくなりました。
    実現しないかなぁ。
    尊くん、ダメかなぁ～。

    白田さんの優勝、嬉しかったです。
    仙台では残念ながら放送されなかったけれど、皆さんから様子を聞くと力を尽くしての感動的な試合だったとの事、嬉しいです。

    ソニアさんがまた記録を伸ばされたんですね！
    見落としていました。
    今年はそんなに記録が拮抗しているんですか。
    今年もチェスナットさんとの一騎打ちかと思っていましたが、違うんですね。
    群雄割拠の時代に突入ですね！
    みんな尊くん目指して追って来る。
    今年はさらに盛り上がるでしょう。
    ８分は１２分よりスタート・ダッシュに強いチェスナットさんに有利のように感じます。（ドキドキ！）

    私は社会人２年目、福岡でMCのお仕事しています。
    高校の時から小林さんのファンで、今回初めてコメントをさせて頂きました。

    白田さんが優勝して私もとっても嬉しかったです！小林さんと約束してたなんて裏話聞けてますます感動です。２人は飲みに行ったりして仲がいいですね。白田さんと小林さんが一緒にいたらすごい目立ちそうですよね！
    白田さんが昔から飲食店のお店を開くという夢があるのは知っています。でも私たちファンは小林さんみたく白田さんにももっとフードファイトをやってほしいのです。白田さんをこっちの道に誘惑してください(笑)大食い界の最強は白田さんと小林さんだと思っているので２人でもっと盛り上げてください！山本さんが白田さんのライバルなんて認めません！！！白田さんのライバルはずっと小林さんだけです！
