為末さんにお会いしました。
とても穏やかな物腰です。
驚く事に、日本選手権を間近に控えている感じが伝わってきません。
自分もあんな振る舞いしてみたい。
何年も心のコントロール、使い分けを意識してきたのだけれど、ここぞという時と、それ以外の時をわけるのは、とても高度な技術で、また精神的にかなりタフな選手でなければ不可能だと感じています。
僕は今でもうまくいきません。
僕にとっては、心のアクセルは加速させたら、ブレーキをかけない方が楽なのです。
どんなに張り詰めた精神状態で、ストイックに自分を追い込んでいたとしてもです。
一度ブレーキをかけて、精神を休ませ、そしてまた走り出す事ができるかな？と工夫はしてみたのですが、いまだに実際走り続けた方が、神経の疲弊がありません。
同じ距離を走る場合、ブレーキをかけた方が、ガソリンがかかるわけだから、心に余裕がないとダメなんだろうと勝手な結論をだしました。
為末さんの落ち着き払った様子は、マネしたくてもできないものなのです。
心のコントロールが上手にできないので、最近、無理して顎がまた開かなくなるのを避ける為に、アクセルを思いっきり踏み込まないような工夫をしています。
踏み込んでしまえば、そう簡単に車はとまりません。
かといって、強くブレーキをかければ、そのスピードのギャップに、自分の中で精神的に非常に危険な状態がうまれてしまいます。
制限速度を守った運転では、本当はいけないと感じているのだけれど、体の限界に合わせているわけです。
もしかしたら、為末さんはブレーキなんてかけていなくて、アクセルのコントロールがうまいのかもしれません。
どちらにしても、僕にはまだできないわけですが（汗）
それにしてもかなり興奮しました。
緊張もしていたので、支離滅裂なこと言っているかもしれません（汗）
それでも今度一緒に食事ができるのがうれしい！
